The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing customer data to answer key questions and identify patterns and trends. In this role, the Decisions Support Analyst will work with directly with customers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include working with OLAP and data mining tools to assist customers with profitability analysis, customer segmentation, customer retention/satisfaction research, and campaign testing and evaluation; and interpreting and presenting results and recommendations to client management. Activities include:

  • Analyzing data using OLAP tools.
  • Documenting, presenting and explaining results to business people.
  • Design, development, and documentation of data mining models.
  • Assist clients with creating campaign target audiences.
  • Assist clients in tracking and reporting of campaign results.
  • Providing new requirements to development staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in data analysis and data mining.
  • Strong quantitative, operational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Strong writing/communications skills.
  • Experience with customer relationship management initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in math and statistics
  • Experience with customer retention programs
  • Knowledge of SAS, SPSS, or equivalent data mining tools
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Familiarity with retail banking processes
